The U.S. Customs and Border Protection is seeking highly trained professionals to join our elite team of border patrol agents. As a federal law enforcement officer, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the nation's borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing economic prosperity.


Job Description

This career ladder position starts at GL-9 with promotions up to GS-12 based on performance. You will be part of our 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by:


  • Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws.

  • Inspecting documents and possessions for evidence of citizenship or violations.

  • Maintaining surveillance from covert positions during night operations using infrared scopes.

You must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level performing duties such as:
