This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Customs Officer. As a vital part of the Federal Law Enforcement workforce, you will play a key role in protecting America's borders and safeguarding our nation's economic prosperity.
A typical day for a Customs Officer includes enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations; facilitating legitimate trade and travel; conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances; determining admissibility for entry into the United States; preventing illegal entry of people and goods.
You will be asked to provide your preference for one of several critical locations across the country. Incentives are available for some locations. If you have experience working with law enforcement or military personnel, this may also qualify you at the GS-9 level.
