Dishwasher/Prep Cook

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cook/Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, efficient, and welcoming kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong attention to cleanliness, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. Prior restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn.

Duties

• Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and standards
• Assist with food presentation and plating as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning and sanitizing
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware efficiently to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Stock kitchen supplies and ingredients, ensuring proper storage and rotation
• Follow food handling safety protocols to ensure quality and safety of all food served
• Support the serving staff during busy periods by providing timely food and beverage service when required
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment

Skills

• Experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service environments preferred
• Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards in a kitchen setting
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication skills and teamwork-oriented attitude
• Basic understanding of food handling safety protocols
• Hospitality experience or hotel background is advantageous but not required
• Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary arts and restaurant operations

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.85 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
