As our next Automation Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you'll be at the forefront of leading design engineering operations and project management activities within the Automation Group Canada. Your expertise in automation equipment, multidisciplinary design, leadership, and engineering project governance will be crucial in driving our success and pushing the boundaries of what's possible.

What You'll Be Doing:
Work closely with the Director and department managers to establish project requirements, concepts, and timelines.
Provide full supervisory leadership for design staff, ensuring compliance with policies and promoting growth and training.
Manage day‑to‑day departmental administrative tasks.
Support multidisciplinary equipment design and development efforts.
Create and manage design checklists to validate alignment with standards; implement corrective actions when needed.
Manage corrective‑action and open‑issue lists.
Lead development of process flow diagrams and control strategies.
Develop and maintain customer‑oriented departmental strategies.
Assist in budgeting for new products and design tools.
Maintain and improve design systems, build standards, and project‑management procedures.
Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other related duties as required.
What We're Looking For:
Undergraduate degree in Engineering.
5+ years of managerial/supervisory experience with larger teams (10+) in the automation industry is a must.
5+ years of experience working directly with automation equipment a must.
Strong understanding of automated solutions and assembly processes.
Mechanical aptitude.
Experience with SolidWorks PDM, Questica, or ePlan.
Commutable, reasonable distance from Ancaster location to be considered.
Ability to synthesize and communicate concepts and design solutions clearly.
Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict management, and problem‑solving skills.
Proficient in FMEA and GD&T.
High integrity, dependability, sense of urgency, and results orientation.
Bonus Points If You Have:
Background in developing or maintaining build standards and design methodologies.
