Job Summary
Our small, friendly community pharmacy is looking for a dedicated and outgoing Pharmacy Assistant to join our close-knit team. We pride ourselves on providing more than just prescriptions; we build genuine relationships.
The ideal candidate is a "people person" who enjoys small talk and building personal connections with our patients. You should be a fluent communicator in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, with a mastery of the Kroll system. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment but still value a warm, amicable workspace, we would love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
Prescription Management: Accurately intake prescriptions, perform data entry in Kroll, and manage complex insurance claims and troubleshooting.
Dispensing Support: Prepare labels and package medications according to safety standards under pharmacist supervision.
Patient Engagement: Provide exceptional care by greeting patients warmly and maintaining the friendly "neighborhood pharmacy" atmosphere we are known for.
Inventory & Operations: Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and ensure the pharmacy remains organized and compliant with health regulations.
Administration: Maintain meticulous records of transactions and patient files while assisting with general office tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Language Proficiency: Must be fully fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese to serve our diverse patient base.
Technical Expertise: Proven proficiency in Kroll is a mandatory requirement.
Experience: Prior experience in a retail pharmacy setting is preferred, especially a strong understanding of the small pharmacy business model.
Communication: An outgoing, pleasant personality with the ability to multitask under pressure without losing your pleasant touch.
Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy in data entry and a compassionate approach to patient confidentiality.
