Why This Role Stands Apart?
At nuvRx, pharmacists are embedded within a collaborative care model by working directly with specialists, nurses, and PSP partners to ensure therapies are initiated, authorized, and sustained seamlessly.
You will gain hands-on exposure to biologics, reimbursement navigation, and specialty workflows while maintaining strong work-life balance in a boutique environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional pharmacy services in accordance with OCP standards
Verify and dispense specialty and dermatology/rheumatology therapies
Administer injections and biologic therapies (where applicable)
Collaborate with prescribers, nurses, and PSP coordinators on patient care plans
Support patient onboarding, education, and adherence monitoring
Develop programs, improve systems and SOPs
Review and facilitate prior authorizations and reimbursement processes
Oversee prescription workflow, documentation, and clinical accuracy
Utilize Kroll and integrated systems for prescription processing and recordkeeping
Coordinate with patient support programs for enrollment and follow-ups
Maintain compliance with cold-chain handling and specialty drug protocols
Contribute to workflow optimization and operational growth initiatives
Qualifications and Requirements:
Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP)
Injection certification and CPR/First Aid training (current)
Proficiency in Kroll Pharmacy Management Software
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Familiarity with OSCAR EMR or similar electronic medical record systems
Strong communication and patient counselling skills
High attention to detail and organizational proficiency
Ability to work both independently and within an integrated clinical team
Assets (not required):
Experience in specialty pharmacy or biologics
Exposure to dermatology and/or rheumatology therapeutics
PSP coordination or reimbursement navigation experience
What We Offer:
Competitive compensation
Comprehensive group benefits
Structured onboarding and mentorship (new-grad friendly)
Exclusive, supportive work environment
Great hours with strong work-life balance
Direct collaboration with specialists and care teams
Meaningful opportunity for growth within an expanding practice
This is not just a job, but an opportunity to build a career within a progressive specialty pharmacy that redefines patient experience and clinical integration.
