TDK Doors is a Canadian manufacturer of high-performance industrial and commercial door systems. We specialize in custom-engineered door solutions for supermarkets, food processing facilities, warehouses, and industrial buildings across North America.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Estimator to support our growing sales and production operations.

Position Overview

The Estimator is responsible for analyzing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting the sales team with technical and pricing evaluations.

This role works closely with sales, production, and procurement to ensure profitability, accuracy, and competitive pricing.

Key Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
• Prepare detailed cost estimates (materials, labor, hardware, overhead)
• Calculate production time and manufacturing costs
• Develop accurate quotations for customers
• Coordinate with production and purchasing for cost validation
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in design or material selection
• Maintain pricing database and cost sheets
• Support Inside Sales with technical clarification

Qualifications

• 2+ years of estimating experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial products
• Strong understanding of cost structure and production processes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong Excel skills (cost modeling, calculations)
• ERP/CRM experience (Odoo preferred but not required)
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Background

• Experience in doors, building materials, metal fabrication, or industrial equipment
• Manufacturing floor exposure or hands-on production knowledge
• Engineering or technical education is an asset
