Plumbing Apprentice

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Plumber to join our construction and service team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in plumbing systems, providing a foundation for a rewarding career in the trades. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, possess basic technical skills, and have a strong work ethic. This role involves working on various projects that require precision, safety awareness, and teamwork.

Duties

• Assist licensed plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements
• Use hand tools, power tools, and plumbing specific tools safely and effectively to assemble piping and fixtures
• Measure, cut, and fit pipes using basic math skills to ensure proper alignment and connections
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on plumbing fixtures and systems to ensure optimal operation
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and accurately

Requirements

• Basic mechanical knowledge with an interest in plumbing, construction, or related trades
• Ability to operate hand tools, and power tools
• Willingness to learn blueprint reading and schematics for plumbing layouts
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during installations and repairs
• BC Drivers License (class 5 preferred)

Willingness to learn new skills related to plumbing systems and construction processes

• Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environments
• Prior experience in construction or related fields is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for suitable candidates

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$38.00 per hour
