We are looking for an Intern to join our Group Procurement team from 1st of May 2026 until 31st of December 2026. The role will be based in Eppelheim.
Your Responsibilities
Packaging Procurement
Support sourcing activities for packaging materials (foils, cardboard, closures, straws, tertiary packaging) including data gathering, quote analysis and supplier comparisons
Prepare and analyse RFQs, cost breakdowns and supplier benchmarks
Assist in packaging projects (e.g. cost reduction, sustainability upgrades, material changes) including coordination of samples, documentation and alignment with stakeholders
Maintain packaging master data, supplier records, price lists and contract overviews
Monitor market and sustainability trends, regulatory changes and innovation developments in packaging
AI Capability Building & Use‑Case Implementation
Support the identification and structuring of AI use cases in Procurement (e.g. spend analytics, forecasting, supplier evaluation) in line with Procurement’s digital agenda
Assist in preparing datasets, prompts and workflows to test AI tools (e.g. Copilot, generative AI) safely and effectively, leveraging learnings shared in the AI training session
Help document AI processes, guidelines and best practices for the Procurement team
Contribute to small prototypes or pilots, such as automated report generation, supplier summaries, category trend analysis or spreadsheet automation
Enable team learning by preparing short guides, examples or before/after comparisons of AI‑supported work
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain and Global Procurement on packaging‑relevant workstreams
Prepare clear summaries, presentations and decision papers for management
Ongoing studies in Packaging Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or similar
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Interest in packaging materials, sustainability, procurement processes and AI‑driven optimisation
Curiosity and willingness to experiment with digital tools and AI workflows
Strong English communication skills; German is an advantage
