We are hiring a Security Administrator for our client, a leading plumbing, sewer, and water damage company headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role will secure enterprise systems through firewall administration, network security, and operational controls while supporting mission critical connectivity.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Qualified applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis.
Salary: $90,000 - $120,000/ yr. w2
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of escalation for security technical and process issues.
Oversee the execution and completion of assigned security tasks.
Troubleshoot reported security problems.
Create and modify firewall rule sets, policies, and security device configurations.
Monitor and report on the availability of security layers.
Perform trend analysis, identify top security incidents, and coordinate with teams to minimize future risks.
Document and improve security processes.
Design, set up, and configure security architecture including hardware and software solutions.
Plan and schedule changes in coordination with stakeholders based on business needs.
Facilitate and support business-to-business connectivity for mission critical interfaces and systems.
Monitor security logs for alerts and troubleshoot and remediate as necessary.
Support security training and awareness programs across the organization.
Monitor, support, and report on vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and compliance solutions.
Design, set up, and configure remote access and site-to-site VPNs across diversified security platforms.
Perform root cause analysis on security events.
Experience Requirements:
Experience Requirements
2 to 5 years of hands-on experience with firewall solution delivery including upgrade, research, design, build, deploy, administration, and support.
Proven hands-on experience managing Check Point firewalls.
Comprehensive knowledge of networking communications and network security.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly, business-friendly, and technical language.
Ability to conduct research into a wide range of security issues.
Self-motivated and directed with strong attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Cisco network and security administration (preferred).
Azure experience with Network Security Groups and Application Security Groups (preferred).
KnowBe4 Security Awareness familiarity (preferred).
SD-WAN knowledge (preferred).
Education Requirements:
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security or related Computer Science field.
Check Point firewall administration certification (preferred).
Cisco certification (preferred).
