Border Patrol Agent - Security Professional
Duty Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Border Patrol Agent to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for safeguarding the nation's borders and preventing illegal activity.
Your primary duties will include detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions, and apprehending violators at or near the border.
You will also be required to perform farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks. Additionally, you may be tasked with patrolling international boundaries using various government assets such as vehicles, horses, vessels, watercraft off-road vehicles ATVs snowmobiles motorcycles.
Skill Requirements:
The ideal candidate must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level performing duties that involve enforcing laws making arrests investigating crimes utilizing complex technology for surveillance detection situation awareness systems communications equipment analyzing information rapidly making prompt decisions developing maintaining contact networks informants possessing proficiency in firearms driving techniques physical techniques law enforcement tactics.
GS-11 candidates require authority granted by state government enforce laws make arrests investigate crimes utilize complex technology track illegal operations criminal activity threats nation contraband lead investigations fraud contraband criminal activity threats nation obtain sources patterns use surveillance detection systems analyze information rapidly make prompt decisions exercise sound judgment firearms deal people courteous manner law enforcement matters develop maintain contact network informants.
