• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws
• Inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations

The typical assignments include patrolling the international boundary using government assets such as vehicles, horses, vessels, watercrafts etc. Your duties may also involve:

• Maintaining surveillance from covert positions during night operations
• Gathering information through questioning and examination of records

To qualify for this position you must have one (1) year general work experience demonstrating ability to take charge make sound decisions maintain composure in stressful situations OR bachelor degree education substitution having successfully completed full four-year course study leading to bachelor degree from accredited college university Combination experience education considered too.  The successful candidate should possess skills necessary including making arrests exercising judgment use firearms dealing effectively with courteous manner connection law enforcement matters analyzing rapidly prompt decisions taking physical techniques courses training at USBP Academy etc. Successful completion six months intensive instruction would provide proficiency speaking reading Spanish English.
