Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems. This role requires a strong background in industrial maintenance, electrical and mechanical systems, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure optimal plant operations. The Maintenance Specialist plays a critical role in minimizing downtime and ensuring safety standards are met across all facilities.

Duties

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Operate and program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes.
  • Maintain and update maintenance records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Conduct welding, HVAC repairs, boiler maintenance, and low voltage electrical work as needed.
  • Assist with installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing machinery.
  • Follow safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures to ensure safe working conditions.
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrician practices, mechanical systems, and electrical experience.
  • Proficiency with schematics, technical drawings, and troubleshooting analysis skills.
  • Experience with CMMS software for work order management.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming and low voltage systems.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, boiler operation, welding techniques, and general industrial maintenance.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on analysis and resolution of complex issues.
  • Good communication skills in English for effective documentation and teamwork.
