Border Patrol Agent Job Summary

The U.S. Border Patrol is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to fill entry-level positions as Border Patrol Agents. As a BPA, you will play a critical role in protecting the American people by safeguarding our borders and deterring illicit activity.

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws or possessing illegal goods, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations,
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens at or near the borders through surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations,
• Interpreting physical evidence of illegal entry, including tracks, marks, footprints, tire tracks etc., inspecting vehicles for contraband while traveling on roads public waterways transport
