Customs Enforcement Officer

This is a long-term law enforcement career that has a direct impact on our country and its citizens every day.

• Conduct thorough questioning of individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to verify citizenship or identify violations.
• Maintain surveillance from covert positions at or near the borders, using infrared scopes during night operations to prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers.
• Analyze physical evidence such as tracks, marks, and other signs to determine illegal entry points for persons or contraband.
