• Detect, question, and inspect individuals suspected of violating immigration laws and customs regulations.


• Prevent unauthorized border crossings by maintaining surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations.


• Analyze physical evidence such as tracks, marks, and other indicators of illegal entry or smuggling activities.


• Conduct farm checks, building searches, traffic stops, city patrols, transportation inspections to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. 


• Patrol international borders with various government assets including vehicles, boats, aircraft, , ATVs, snowmobiles, , motorcycles to fulfill the USBP mission objectives.
