Position Summary

The IT / Web / Automation Controls Designer is a hands-on hybrid role responsible for designing, integrating, and supporting both industrial automation control systems and the company's core digital and IT platforms. Acting as the sole technical authority, this individual ensures the reliability, security, and performance of internal infrastructure and the ongoing development of the company's custom Java/Angular/SQL ERP system, while also managing the corporate website and providing technical support for marketing and digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Controls Design & Integration

  • PLC, HMI, robotics, SCADA programming and commissioning
  • Automation system architecture and safety design
  • FAT, SAT, commissioning, documentation, and mentoring

ERP, Business Systems & Software Development

  • Ownership of custom ERP (Java/Python, Angular, SQL)
  • System uptime, enhancements, and business alignment

Website, Digital Platforms & IT Infrastructure

  • Website administration, hosting, security, SEO
  • IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, MDM, telecom, vendor management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechatronics or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive, hands-on experience combining software development, system administration, and digital platform management, preferably in a small-to-medium business.
  • Strong automation controls and full-stack development background
  • High autonomy, communication skills, and ownership mindset
  • Strategic Problem-Solving: Exceptional ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues across all domains (development, network, security, web).
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical employees, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Ownership: High level of professionalism and accountability for the operational success and security of the company's entire technology landscape.
  • Willingness to travel: Occasional international visits to customer sites may be required
