Superb Group is growing We are a team-oriented professional landscaping company located in Guelph serving Kitchener/Waterloo and Cambridge. We offer a positive, safe, team-oriented working environment and are looking for a full-time Landscape Maintenance Crew Supervisor to join our team. This is a permanent, FULL-TIME position and those available to stay with us into the winter months will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of landscape maintenance crew members to achieve daily goals.
  • Quality Control: Oversee landscape maintenance tasks, ensuring work meets company standards for quality and safety.
  • Task Delegation: Assign and monitor tasks such as grass cutting, weeding, and pruning, providing guidance as needed.
  • Training: Train new crew members on landscaping techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
  • Grass Cutting: Operate lawn mowers and trimmers to maintain and achieve a neat appearance for lawns and grass areas(Stand on mowers, walk-behind and push mowers).
  • Weeding: Remove weeds from garden beds, lawns, and other landscaped areas using hand tools.
  • Pruning: Trim and shape plants, shrubs, and small trees to promote healthy growth and maintain aesthetic appeal.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on landscaping equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Clean-Up: Clear debris and dispose of it properly to keep work areas tidy and safe.
  • Site Preparation: Prepare areas for planting and other landscape work, including soil preparation and mulching.
  • Safety: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently and to high standards.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in landscape maintenance, with supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a team and foster a positive work environment.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Valid driver's license is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
