Since our inception in 1983, Priddis Greens has consistently had its eye on the future. Starting with a simple nine-hole course and small clubhouse, the Club has continued to improve and grow into a 36-hole world-class golf destination that our 850 equity members and their families are proud to call home. Role Description

As the Buildings Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day maintenance of various buildings on the property while contributing to the success and continual improvement of Priddis Greens Golf & Country Club. This role maintains day-to-day cleanliness, hygiene, organization, and operational standards within assigned buildings and provides an opportunity to grow leadership skills by guiding fellow Club Maintenance team members. Utilizing a unique set of skills and passion, you will enhance the membership and employee experience through superior attention to detail, creativity, and process implementation. In consideration of further developing professional skills, you will also maintain the Clubhouse representative role on the Health & Safety Committee and attend Excellence Club coaching sessions throughout the year.

What you'll do at Priddis Greens

  • Cleanliness, Hygienic, Organization: maintain the daily cleanliness, hygiene, and organizational standards of all assigned buildings.
  • Machine Operation: maintain an understanding of laundry machinery, chemical distribution, and various other tools/systems.
  • Maintenance & Reporting: report any operational defects for maintenance and repair of all mechanical components, cleanliness, safety, emergency systems, and inspections, and direct third-party service providers while on-site in the absence of a direct report.
  • Inventory: maintain weekly & monthly inventory inspections in all holding areas and report necessary supplies for order placement.
  • Personnel: assist in scheduling and training of employees, guide the completion of various tasks, and team building.
  • Committees: maintain the Clubhouse representative role on the Health & Safety Committee
  • MVP: create exceptional experiences, foster inclusivity, and embrace continuous improvement, all the while maintaining our core values of respect, excellence and enjoyment; embrace the Club's mission to "enrich lives through golf".

Required Skills

  • Commitment to professionalism, teamwork and achieving excellence is necessary to fit and succeed
  • Reliable. This is a seasonal job, so your commitment to being on time and at work is very important
  • Must be able to take direction
  • Efficient and effective with your time while being very self-motivated
  • Must be capable of working effectively both unsupervised and within a team environment.
  • Collaborating with others to ensure the best decisions possible are made every day
  • Ability to enhance the quality of our Members and employees lives through innovation, detail and quality
  • Constant standing/walking, lifting/carrying up to 50lbs, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and climbing
  • Driving of cart on course, ensuring safety and care of the environment
  • Dedicated to the maintenance and cleanliness of the club

Qualifications

  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Cleaning experience an asset but not required. Training provided per Club standards
  • Drivers license required with ability to travel reliably
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada required

Projected Schedule

This maintenance role is designed to provide 3 to 5 days/week year-round; however, due to the seasonality and business volumes of the operation, the hours of this position will fluctuate between 25 to 40 hours/week throughout the year. Overtime is expected to be limited to maintain a healthy work/life balance and only to be utilized when approved.
