Assistant, Associate, Full Professor

The College of Nursing invites applications for two full-time Probationary (tenure-track) or tenured Nurse Practitioner at the Assistant, Associate or Full-Professor rank, commencing July 1, 2026, or on a date mutually agreed upon. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The responsibilities of this position include teaching, research and service and the successful candidate will provide leadership in service to the College, University, and professional /academic communities, committees and activities.

The College of Nursing seeks an emerging or established scholar with a commitment to excellence in teaching, research/scholarship and service. Exceptional candidates will be considered with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below:

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR:

The successful candidate will teach nursing courses at the undergraduate and graduate level using onsite or various distance educational modalities and will participate in the education/supervision of graduate students.

The successful candidate will develop and maintain an ongoing program of funded scholarly or research activity.

Qualifications:

Doctoral prepared with a PhD in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, or Doctor of Nursing preferred. Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba with a RN(NP) designation is required. Additional qualifications include evidence of a program of research and scholarship, including funded research and peer-reviewed publications along with evidence of effective teaching.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR:

The successful candidate will teach nursing courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels using onsite or various distance educational modalities and will participate in the education/supervision of graduate students.

The successful candidate will conduct independent research/scholarly activity and mentor graduate students and faculty.

Qualifications:

Doctoral prepared with a PhD in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, or Doctor of Nursing preferred. Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba with a RN(NP) designation is required.

An established scholarly or research record in health care including peer-reviewed publications, demonstrated ability to obtain competitive research grants and establish research/scholarly networks. A track record of excellence in teaching, course development and supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and a relevant clinical background is required. Applicants must have evidence of a well-developed and established program of scholarly activity/research.

FULL PROFESSOR:

The successful candidate will teach nursing courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels using onsite or various distance educational modalities and will participate in the education/supervision of graduate students.

The successful candidate will conduct independent research/scholarly activity and mentor graduate students and faculty.

Qualifications:

An established internationally recognized scholarly or research record in health care including peer-reviewed publications, demonstrated ability to obtain competitive research grants and establish research/scholarly networks. A track record of excellence in teaching, course development and supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and a relevant clinical background is required. Applicants must have evidence of an established program of scholarly activity/research.
