Groundskeeper - Custodian - Maintenance

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Groundskeeper Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities and both interior and outdoor spaces.

This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks, minor maintenance, and landscape upkeep to ensure a safe, attractive, and well-maintained environment for staff and visitors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment related to maintenance and horticulture.

Duties

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste removal across indoor areas
• Maintain outdoor landscapes through gardening, pruning, mowing, and planting
• Use hand tools, power tools, and irrigation equipment for landscape maintenance and minor repairs
• Assist with landscape projects such as planting flowers or shrubs and installing irrigation systems
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
• Perform basic maintenance tasks including fixing fixtures or small repairs using appropriate tools
• Ensure all areas are safe, clean, and well-organized at all times
• Follow safety procedures when operating equipment or handling chemicals

Skills

• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems is preferred
• Knowledge of horticulture, landscape maintenance, and gardening techniques
• Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks effectively and safely
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cleaning and landscape work
• Physical stamina to perform outdoor duties such as mowing or planting for extended periods
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in maintaining indoor and outdoor spaces
• Basic understanding of safety protocols related to maintenance equipment and chemicals
