NextStar Energy (NSE) is an innovative joint venture company between LG and Stellantis. It is Canada's first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant which began mass production in Windsor, Ontario. The manufacturing facility will have an annual targeted production capacity in excess of 49 gigawatt hours and will create an estimated 2,500 new jobs in Windsor and the surrounding areas.

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our Team at Nextstar-energy.
Minimum Requirements
5+ years of experience related to maintenance of gas-fired appliances
G1/G2/G3 gas technician license
A valid G Driver's License, with a clean abstract
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Willing and able to work plant shutdowns, weekends and holidays as needed
Willing and able to work overtime, sometimes on short notice
Preferred Requirements
In addition to a gas technician certification nice to have:
306A Plumber
307A Steamfitter
Gas Fitter Class A or Class B
Experience in a manufacturing and construction environment with a facilities equipment focus
Demonstrated troubleshooting ability required
Working knowledge of work order systems
Ability to read and interpret Electrical and Mechanical Schematics and drawings
Be self-motivated and demonstrate skill, initiative and judgment to make decisions and communicate these decisions with departmental supervisory for approval.
Strong computer skills that include Email, Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Work in a fast-paced team-orientated state of the art manufacturing environment
Installation, troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance and overhaul of mechanical equipment such as air handling units, make-up air units, industrial dehumidification units, boilers and other environmental control equipment.
Maintain equipment to provide areas with specific humidity requirements (35%, 10% and 1% zones)
Identify maintenance risks on equipment.
Diagnose and repair gas train faults and failures.
Identify parts and material for repairs and consumable stock.
Assist in planning and implementing mechanical equipment maintenance.
Preventive maintenance execution to complete all PdM and PM tasks.
New equipment specification review and support including commissioning checks, and risk assessments
Incident report creation including deep problem solving / root cause investigation
Demonstrate problem solving methodology and reduce a loss of utility cost.
Initiate continuous improvement activities
Follow work procedures and comply with safety standards.
