We're looking for Manager, Accounting resource to join our all-star team. We're looking for:

What you'll do:
Here is a sample of what your workday may look like:
Oversee, supervise, and mentor General Accounting Team.
Lead, coordinate, review, prepare and distribute the company's reporting deliverables for external use. This includes Brookfield submissions and quarterly MD&A and FS for lenders. Ensure that reports, filings and documentation complies with the company's regulations, professional standards and GAAP reporting requirements
Manage the corporate accounting including PPE continuities, asset retirement obligations, month end closes, and chart of accounts structure
Review and coordinate monthly management reports, quarterly board presentations, variance analysis
Oversee the corporate quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes including consolidations and supporting supplemental information for board slides
Oversee the preparation of monthly reporting (AVB, AVA, other internal schedules, and tax reporting requests)
Preparation and review to ensure compliance of quarterly and annual regulatory filings including pension audit and regulatory financial statements
Lead the completion of legal entity financial statements for tax compliance
Review, research and document accounting position papers for recent or upcoming accounting standards in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards.
Collaborate with legal, executives, operations and commercial teams in involved in special Finance adhoc projects such as general ledger issues, new account requirements, ensuring new accounting transactions are properly captured
Review standard monthly journal entries, monthly/quarterly accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
Oversee design and implementation of process and accounting system improvements
Oversee data and supporting information for quarterly/annual audit and liaise with external auditors
Provide day-to-day ERP support to Project Managers, Cost center Owners, Supply Chain and other business stakeholder.
Assist with the monthly reporting and other internal schedules for the business.
Ensure compliance with IFRS and SOX processes, assists with development, documentation and effective operation of financial controls.
Maintain effective working relationships with Operations, Commercial, Engineering, Internal Controls and external auditors.
Ad-hoc requests.

What you bring:
Required
A minimum eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience in finance or accounting.
Bachelor's Degree or post-secondary diploma in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
Professional designation in accounting is required CA, CPA, CMA or CGA.
Advanced computer skills including MS Office Suite and SAP system
Preference for experience in the oil and gas/midstream industry
Excellent leadership, interpersonal and motivational skills.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
Strong work ethic; works equally well with other team members or independently.
Preferred
SAP Experience
