What's The Team Like
The Commercial team at Calgary Airports works with airlines, retailers, restaurants, property partners, and business stakeholders to grow revenue and enhance passenger experience. Their work matters because commercial activity helps drive airport sustainability and supports the services guests rely on every day. The team collaborates with partners across the airport to support leasing, business development, retail strategy, and commercial performance. As a co‑op student, you'll join a fast‑paced, highly engaged team that values creativity, curiosity, and data‑driven thinking.
What Are Some Of The Responsibilities
Assist with collecting, organizing, and analyzing commercial and operational data
Help prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations on commercial performance and guest trends
Support market research, benchmarking, and gather insights on retail, concessions, and commercial opportunities
Assist with lease administration tasks, including organizing documents, updating databases, and tracking agreements
Participate in site walks and tenant check‑ins to observe operations and gather information
Support commercial initiatives such as promotions, retail programs, and partner activities
Provide general administrative and project support to the Commercial team
What Do You Need To Bring
To qualify for a Co‑op or Internship position, you must be enrolled in a post‑secondary program in Business, Commerce, Economics, Marketing, Aviation Management, or a related field that requires a work term as a formal component of the curriculum, and you must provide documentation confirming that the work term is an academic requirement.
You'll need to be eligible to obtain and maintain a RAIC, don't worry – we'll help you through this For more details, check out: RAIC Program and Application Information
Coursework or experience involving business analysis, marketing, data, or customer experience
Ability to work with structured documentation, maintain organized records, and follow established processes
What Additional Skills Are An Asset
Bilingual in English and French
Experience working with Excel, spreadsheets, or basic data analysis for school or personal projects.
Exposure to market research, business cases, or financial analysis through coursework.
Comfort working with presentations, visuals, or digital tools to communicate ideas.
Interest in retail, commercial strategy, real estate, or aviation business.
