We are seeking a highly experienced Information Architect to support enterprise-level architecture initiatives within a complex I&IT environment. This contract role is ideal for someone with strong data modelling expertise, governance experience, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Define, document, and obtain approval for enterprise information architecture requirements
Lead complex information architecture reviews and assessments to support evolving enterprise priorities
Develop and maintain conceptual and logical data models
Provide expert guidance and interpretation to project teams, stakeholders, and vendors
Lead or participate in sensitive information architecture investigations
Develop information governance frameworks and integration strategies
Translate business requirements into enterprise-level information and data models
Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, governance checkpoints, and best practices
Support strategic IT investment planning and transformation initiatives
Must-Have Expertise:
Strong enterprise architecture background with specialization in information architecture and data modelling
Experience developing organization-wide information models and master data management practices
Ability to reconcile conflicting business definitions and translate them into standardized data concepts
Experience conducting architecture reviews and assessments in large enterprise environments
Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and consensus-building skills
Proven ability to communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Nice to Have:
Experience with Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools
Knowledge of Information Management principles and governance frameworks
Familiarity with AODA accessibility standards
Public sector experience (municipal, provincial, or federal)
