Job Summary
The Junior Account Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Accounting Department with account reconciliations, updating various ledgers, preparing financial reports, ensuring transactions are supported with adequate documentation, ensuring financial statements are accurate on an ongoing basis among other accounting duties as assigned. The Junior Account Coordinator will also be responsible for assisting in general administrative duties as assigned. These duties can include acting as the designated client contact and follow-up with clients and maintain ongoing communications with clients among other administrative duties as assigned.
Main Responsibilities
Complete account reconciliations on various general ledger and sub-ledger accounts.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and vendor statements; resolve discrepancies promptly.
Must have experience with QuickBooks and bookkeeping.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Ensure all transactions are supported by adequate supporting documentation, in accordance with official policy and properly approved.
Initiate all transactions on time.
Ensure transactions are reflected in a proper accounting period.
Assist with year-end and month-end processes.
Act as the designated client contact and follow-up with clients from multiple countries.
Communicate with tenants and vendors as needed regarding payment status or discrepancies
Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and general IT troubleshooting.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
CPA or Working Towards designation.
