Overview
A leading Asset Management organization is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its Analytics & Business Intelligence team. This role will focus on designing and optimizing scalable data pipelines, enhancing data warehouse infrastructure, and supporting modernization initiatives — including migration to AWS cloud technologies.
This opportunity offers strong exposure to modern cloud platforms within a mature financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
Develop and maintain robust data models and data warehouse architecture
Collaborate with BI engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver analytics solutions
Support modernization and cloud migration initiatives (AWS-focused)
Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of data systems (cloud & on-prem)
Ensure best practices in data governance, security, and compliance
Core Technical Skills
Required
5+ years of Data Engineering and ETL development experience
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
Strong understanding of Data Modeling and Data Warehousing concepts
Experience supporting analytics/reporting environments
Proven involvement in modernization or migration projects
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
Experience with AWS data services (e.g., SageMaker)
Hands-on experience with AWS-based data platforms
Understanding of cloud data governance and security practices
Experience building scalable cloud data solutions
Nice to Have
Experience with SAS and WebFOCUS
Exposure to Machine Learning workflows and AWS integration
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering
Banking or Asset Management industry experience
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
