Position: Digital Designer, Scientific Media Content, Part-time
Hours: ~25 hours per week; availability required weekdays during core business hours
Pay rate: $40.00 to $50.00 / hour depending on experience
Location: Hybrid but must be based in the Greater Toronto Area

We are seeking a Digital Designer to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a highly versatile role, perfect for a designer with a strong aesthetic background who thrives on varied projects—from detailed website updates and print materials for major events and medical journals to editing digital content for podcasts. The ideal candidate is proactive, detailed, and comfortable managing design workflow across a variety of content management and design platforms.

What you'll be doing:
● Use Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and other tools to establish and maintain strong visual identities for Catalytic Health's publications and creative projects.
● Utilize Figma for rapid prototyping, collaboration, and creating design systems/component libraries.
● Create landing pages and content for medical events and conferences using WordPress, Jotform, Mailchimp, and Adobe tools.
● Produce compelling and effective content for both internal and client projects, ensuring all communication needs are met, primarily using Adobe tools.
● Edit medical podcasts using Premiere (or similar software) and publish them to Spotify and Apple Music.
● Develop comprehensive reports and presentations related to various projects, including Mailchimp and Spotify analytics reports.
● Manage digital asset libraries, ensuring all files are organized and easily accessible.
Key Qualifications:
Software Proficiency (Must-Haves):
o Figma (or Sketch/Adobe XD)
o Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Audition)
o WordPress/Elementor (basic site editing/content management) to edit page designs and configurations.
o Adobe Premiere (or similar software) for editing podcasts and familiarity with various podcast channels (Apple, Spotify, Amazon Music, etc.)
o Email Marketing Platforms: Experience running Mailchimp-based email campaigns and managing an audience of over 10,000 subscribers.
o Online Form Builder such as Jotform to create, publish and manage any required forms
Technical Skills: Excellent understanding of web standards, responsive design principles, strong video, static, and written content creation skills for a variety of platforms
Work Style: Highly organized, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with tight deadlines.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with non-design stakeholders.
o Experience with publishing systems such as OJS is an asset.
o An interest in health, medicine, or pharmaceuticals is an asset.
