Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail orientated Residential Leasing Coordinator to join our passionate team. Reporting to the Director of Residential and Tenant Services, the Residential Leasing Coordinator supports the lease administration for their designated properties within the Edison portfolio, ensuring that regulatory standards are met and providing expert support for generation and renewal of tenant leases. The ideal candidate should hold a high degree of accuracy, have excellent communication skills and be reliable. This role combines sales, administration, and customer service in a fast-paced residential environment.
Main Responsibilities
Administrative Support
Trains and develops tools (such as manuals or checklists) to support Yardi users within the organization.
Provide input or track data for reports as required by Property Managers and Director of Residential Leasing and Tenant Services.
Providing input to the Residential Property Managers to facilitate smooth operations.
Reviews Arrears listing for entry errors etc.
Verify rent roll reports.
Leasing Support
Process rental applications, complete screening, and prepare lease agreements
Maintain accurate tenant records and update property management software
Monitor market trends and provide feedback on pricing and incentives
Support resident retention initiatives and lease renewals
Assist with tenant communications and general administrative duties
Approve lease applications for the various residential properties in their portfolio based on predefined guidelines.
Collaborates with Resident Managers to ensure lease terms and conditions are upheld, investigating concerns and taking appropriate action in accordance with established policies and guidelines.
Maintains accurate parking records and reports, including processing cancellations, amendments, and related documentation.
Serves as the first point of contact for inquiries related to parking and residential lease agreements, including disputes regarding charges, payments, and damage claims.
Assists with Above Guideline Increase (AGI) duties as required, including preparation and documentation of new lease rates.
Oversees the Security Deposit refund process in compliance with guidelines set by the Residential Tenancies Branch (RTB).
Liaises with Government Relations and the Residential Tenancies Branch (RTB) to prepare and issue notices to new tenants, rent increase notices, and other compliance-related documentation.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Residential Leasing and Tenant Services, consistent with the scope of this role.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in residential leasing, lease administration and/or property management is required
Strong sales and negotiation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with property management software (Yardi) is preferred
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Detailed oriented in a fast-paced residential leasing environment
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends
Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
