Position Description
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at a Client office at a minimum 2-3 days per week - subject to change at any time.
The Business Analyst will support payments modernization initiatives with a focus on digital assets, tokenization, and emerging payment models. The role requires strong domain expertise in payments, the ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, and experience working across technology, risk, and operations teams within a regulated financial environment.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for payments initiatives, including digital assets and tokenization use cases
Support initiatives related to tokenized payments, digital currencies, asset digitization, and related settlement or custody workflows
Collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, and operations teams to translate business needs into solution-ready requirements
Develop process flows, use cases, data mappings, and API/interface specifications
Support regulatory, risk, compliance, and security discussions related to digital assets and payments
Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and user story definition
Support UAT planning, test case review, and defect triage
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure alignment and clarity.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Must have Skills:
6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within payments or transaction banking
Strong understanding of payment systems and rails (e.g., wires, ACH, real-time payments, ISO 20022)
Hands-on experience with digital assets, tokenization, or blockchain-enabled payment solutions
Experience defining requirements for APIs, event-driven architectures, or distributed systems
Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
Experience working in regulated financial services environments
Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000–$145,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
