We are hiring a skilled Warehouse Technician for our state-of-the-art facility in Miami, Florida. This role is essential for the maintenance and operational efficiency of our warehouse equipment and systems, contributing directly to our overall logistics success. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various warehouse machinery, including conveyor systems, forklifts, and automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS). Your technical expertise and proactive approach to equipment upkeep will ensure minimal downtime and maximize productivity. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, a commitment to Safety, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on all warehouse machinery and equipment according to schedule.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on various equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, complying with all Safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse facility to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities in the CMMS.
- Operate and maintain various hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Manage spare parts inventory for maintenance operations.
- Provide training to operators on the proper use and basic maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure proper use of PPE during all maintenance tasks.
- Support overall logistics operations by ensuring equipment availability.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or Associate's degree in a related field is highly preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting is a plus.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Experience with Logistics equipment is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 70 lbs.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be comfortable wearing required PPE.
