Join our vibrant logistics team as a Material Handler in San Francisco, California! We are looking for motivated individuals to play a key role in our distribution center. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that keep our warehouse running smoothly, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping materials. Your efforts are vital to our supply chain and ensure our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. This position requires a strong focus on Safety, as you will be working with various materials and equipment. You will be expected to follow all established safety procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ability to handle significant Lifting is essential for this role, as you will be moving boxes and other items frequently. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming materials.
- Sort and stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick orders accurately based on pick lists or scanners.
- Pack orders securely for shipment.
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Report any damages or discrepancies to supervisor.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, such as safety shoes and gloves.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Availability to work flexible shifts if required.
