Operate heavy machinery with precision and care as a Forklift Operator in our St. Louis, Missouri warehouse. This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods throughout our facility, playing a key part in our overall logistics chain. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving materials to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, experienced in operating various types of forklifts, and possesses a strong understanding of warehouse operations. Maintaining a safe working environment is our top priority, and strict adherence to Safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE, is required. This position involves significant physical activity, including regular Lifting of items up to 50 lbs. You will be trained on our specific procedures and equipment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage areas and vice versa.
- Assist with inventory counts and placement of stock.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all company Safety rules and regulations.
- Wear and utilize required PPE at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Support logistics operations through timely material movement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform significant Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Familiarity with basic inventory control principles.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Understanding of logistics operations is beneficial.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
