We have an exciting opening for a Forklift Operator at our Provo, Utah facility. If you are a skilled and safety-minded individual with experience operating forklifts, we want to hear from you. You will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. This role is critical to the efficient functioning of our warehouse operations and logistics. You will play a key role in loading and unloading trucks, transferring materials, and ensuring that our inventory is handled with care and precision. A commitment to safety and operational excellence is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport goods between different areas of the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper storage of goods.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed to support the logistics team.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance operational skills and safety knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable forklift operating experience.
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 70 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management systems is a plus.
