Join our growing team as a Picker/Packer in Virginia Beach, Virginia! We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented individuals to support our busy warehouse and logistics operations. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders and preparing them for shipment. This position requires speed, accuracy, and a strong commitment to Safety and quality control. As a Picker/Packer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. This is a hands-on role that involves significant physical activity, including consistent Lifting and movement throughout the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package products securely and efficiently for shipment, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages correctly for delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and materials are stored properly.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any damaged goods or inventory discrepancies to a supervisor immediately.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy standards.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as receiving or stocking.
- Perform frequent Lifting of boxes and items, sometimes weighing up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform frequent Lifting throughout the shift.
- Understanding of basic warehouse Safety practices.
- Familiarity with Logistics terminology and processes is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Comfortable wearing required PPE.
