Seeking a certified Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in San Diego, California! This critical role ensures the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse facility. You will operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack inventory, ensuring proper placement and organization. A strong focus on Safety and adherence to operational procedures are essential. All operators must maintain their certifications and demonstrate proficiency in operating various types of forklifts. Required PPE must be worn at all times while operating machinery. This position involves significant responsibility for the safe handling of goods and requires a keen awareness of surroundings, especially concerning Lifting and stacking operations.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily for safety and operational issues.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring proper placement and counts.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and utilize required PPE , including hard hats and safety vests.
- Participate in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
- Contribute to the smooth running of our Logistics department.
- Ensure safe practices during all Lifting and moving operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant).
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse Logistics and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of forklift Safety procedures.
- Ability to perform regular Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE .
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
