We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our distribution center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods within the warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, as well as operating various warehouse equipment. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against documentation.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Organize and stock inventory in a systematic and accessible manner.
- Stage materials for outbound shipments or internal use.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following all operational procedures.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Report any unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on Safety and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts and other common warehouse equipment is highly valued.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs frequently, standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management is a plus.
