Our busy warehouse in Chicago, Illinois is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to manage inventory, assist with shipping and receiving, and ensure the overall efficiency of our operations. This role is fundamental to our supply chain and logistics network. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Sort and store inventory in designated locations using proper handling techniques.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently for shipment.
- Prepare goods for outgoing shipments, including labeling and staging.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks safely (training provided).
- Maintain inventory records and perform cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assist with the loading of trucks for delivery.
- Responsible for lifting and moving items up to 60 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center is required.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is a strong plus.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents and product labels.
- Physical strength and endurance to perform demanding tasks, including frequent lifting.
- Must be able to lift and move items up to 60 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety protocols, including PPE usage.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
