We are looking for a skilled Material Handler for our Boston, Massachusetts location. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our warehouse and **logistics** processes. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility, including receiving, storing, and preparing items for shipment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization.
- Pick, pack, and prepare materials for outgoing shipments, adhering to **logistics** requirements.
- Perform regular **Lifting** and movement of materials, following safe manual handling techniques.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to **safety** standards.
- Conduct regular equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.
- Wear and utilize all required **PPE**, including **safety** glasses and steel-toed boots.
- Follow all company **safety** policies and procedures.
- Contribute to inventory accuracy by reporting any discrepancies.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Valid forklift operator certification is preferred.
- Ability to perform significant **Lifting** (up to 50 lbs) and physical tasks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse **logistics** and material flow.
- Commitment to workplace **safety** and adherence to all regulations.
- Must be able to wear and use **PPE**.
