We are seeking a diligent Material Handler for our Raleigh, North Carolina facility. As a Material Handler, you will be essential to the efficient movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from storage locations, and assisting with order fulfillment. A strong commitment to safety, including the correct use of PPE, is paramount in this role. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles.
- Move inventory to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Assist in picking and staging materials for outgoing orders.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper material handling.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Support shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Must be able to perform lifting tasks up to 60 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
