We are recruiting a proficient Material Handler for our strategically located facility in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is essential to our logistics network, focusing on the efficient and safe handling of materials throughout the warehouse. Key responsibilities include operating powered industrial trucks, loading and unloading shipments, and managing inventory within designated areas. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, operational efficiency, and teamwork. Your expertise will ensure that materials are moved and managed correctly, contributing directly to the seamless operation of our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping/receiving areas.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment, reporting any defects or required maintenance.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Strictly adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Support receiving and shipping departments as needed.
- Participate in team efforts to improve warehouse operations and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and equipment operation.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activities, including lifting up to 50 pounds routinely.
- Familiarity with logistics operations and inventory control systems is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proven ability to work safely and efficiently in a demanding environment.
