Our Des Moines, Iowa distribution center is seeking a dedicated Distribution Center Associate to manage the efficient flow of products. This role is fundamental to our supply chain, ensuring that goods are received, stored, and dispatched correctly and on time. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory.
- Store goods in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
- Pick and pack orders for shipment with high accuracy.
- Stage orders for outbound transportation.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular audits and system updates.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist in maintaining efficient workflow and meeting daily targets.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant Lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Comfortable using various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Effective communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
