Job Description

A Customs and Border Protection Officer is a high-stakes position that requires individuals to protect America's borders from various threats. This role involves enforcing laws, regulating the flow of goods and people, and ensuring national security.

• Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws at ports of entry;


• Facilitate legitimate trade and travel while preventing smuggling activities;


• Conduct inspections of individuals, vehicles, cargo shipments;


• Determine admissibility for entry into the United States; and


• Prevent illegal activity through intelligence gathering. 

• Citizenship status as a US citizen with primary residency in the US or territories declared under international law within three years preceding your application submission date (not including time served abroad); you may also be eligible if currently serving / have previously served in federal civilian non-military positions covered by Titles 5 U.S.C., section 8336(c) or Title 5 U.S.C., Section 8412(d)
