We're a startup preparing to launch a web and mobile application. The app was built using Lovable (AI app builder) and uses React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, and Supabase on the backend. The mobile version is wrapped using Capacitor for iOS and Android.
We're looking for a skilled developer who can jump in, identify and fix bugs, implement new designs from Figma, and get the app polished and performing at its best across both web and mobile — fast. START IMMEDIATELY
What You'll Be Doing:
Bug Fixing (Priority #1)
• Fix known bugs from our existing bug list (will be provided)
• Conduct a thorough audit of the app to identify and fix any additional bugs or broken functionality
• Debug issues across both the web browser version and the Capacitor-wrapped mobile version
Figma to React Implementation
• Take designs from our Figma files and build them pixel-perfect in React using Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui
• Ensure new designs are fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile
• Match spacing, typography, and visual details exactly as designed
Web + Mobile Quality Assurance
• Ensure the app works flawlessly across desktop browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox)
• Ensure the mobile experience is smooth on both iOS and Android
• Fix responsive design issues, touch interaction quirks, and mobile-specific bugs
• Test and fix any issues with background audio playback on mobile (critical feature)
Code Cleanup & Optimization
• Review and clean up the codebase — fix TypeScript errors, remove dead/unused code
• Improve app load times, rendering performance, and overall speed
• Optimize API calls and reduce unnecessary re-renders
• Ensure best practices for React component structure and state management
Capacitor / Mobile-Specific
• Troubleshoot and fix any Capacitor plugin issues (audio, camera, permissions)
• Ensure native features work correctly when the app is wrapped for mobile
• Test across multiple devices and screen sizes
Required Skills & Experience:
• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript
• Experience implementing designs from Figma — pixel-perfect translation from design files to code
• Experience with Vite build tooling
• Experience with Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui component library
• Familiarity with Supabase (authentication, database, edge functions)
• Experience with Capacitor (or Ionic/Cordova) for wrapping web apps as native mobile apps
• Experience with Lovable or similar AI app builders is a strong plus
• Comfortable debugging across web and mobile environments
• Strong attention to detail and ability to write clean, well-organized code
Bonus (Nice to Have):
• Experience with audio/media playback in web and mobile apps
• Experience submitting apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
• Familiarity with PWA features and service workers
• Experience with performance profiling and optimization tools (Lighthouse, React DevTools)
Project Details:
• Type: Contract — estimated 1-2 weeks to start, with potential to extend
• Availability: Looking for someone who can start immediately and dedicate significant hours this week
• Communication: Responsive communication is essential — we move fast and need someone who can keep up
• Budget: Up to $55/hr depending on experience
