Four Corners Welding & Gas Supply is one of the largest regional independently owned and operated Welding, Industrial, Specialty, and Medical Gases distributors in the Southwestern U.S., with locations in Gallup and Milan, (NM) Cortez and Durango, (CO). This document outlines the role, responsibilities, and expectations of Store Sales at Four Corners Welding & Gas Supply (FCWG) and Big Mike's Rentals (BMR) in Gallup, NM. The Store Sales position is responsible for interacting with customers at point of sale, processing transactions, and providing excellent customer service. Education & Experience Requirements: Required: High School or equivalent Previous retail experience, or inside sales Preferred: Experience in welding, welding processes, and industrial supply Key Responsibilities and other Duties: Greet and assist customers, answer incoming phone calls, and respond to customer inquires Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate supplies, gases, safety equipment Be informative about products, promotions, and maintain advanced product knowledge Upsell and cross-sell products to increase average transaction value Process sales order, quotes, returns, and exchanges accurately Ensure accuracy of daily cash drawer Maintain working knowledge of welding machines, consumables, industrial gases, and safety products Assist in setting up promotional displays or rearranging merchandise Assist with stocking shelves and organization, monitor inventory levels Keep front counter area clean and organized Safe work practices and use of personal protective equipment Clear communication and foster a cohesive and collaborative work culture Exceptional customer service by maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, acknowledging all customers promptly Protects the company's value by keeping proprietary information confidential Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations Performs additional duties as assigned by management Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities Physical Demands: The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. This role requires frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, squatting, pushing, pulling, reaching (including above shoulder level), gripping, and carrying. Employees must be able to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, and manipulate objects, as well as perform keyboarding tasks. Climbing stairs is required. The position requires the ability to lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds. Work conditions may include exposure to dust, extreme weather conditions, and cryogenic liquids and gases. The employee must have adequate visual acuity, including near and far vision and depth perception, to safely perform job duties. vacation, sick 6 company holidays 401K/profit sharing Work Hours and Environment: This is a full-time position requiring availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with rotational Saturdays from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm. The work environment is a dynamic retail setting with continuous customer interaction. Pay Rate: $14 Employment with Gallup Welder Supply is on an at-will basis. This means that either the employee or the Company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice, in accordance with applicable New Mexico law.
