We are currently seeking exceptional individuals to fill a key management position, a role that is pivotal in bringing our core values of positivity, accountability, community, and caring to life. In this capacity, the Dinning Room Manager plays a crucial role. Through leadership excellence, the successful candidate will not only manage their department's budget but also ensure that their team delivers exemplary service. What you will be doing:


• Support and monitor the efficacy of all food and beverage activities within the residence to align with Aspira standards and expectations for hospitality-style dining services


• Responsible for overseeing all aspects of management related to dining room servers, including recruitment, orientation, supervision and performance evaluation, aimed at maintaining high productivity levels 


• Conduct training and education sessions on hospitality-style dining service to ensure that team members are proficient in providing excellent service to residents 


• Assist with meal service by performing server duties as needed


• Report supply and procurement requirements to the General Manager 


• Manage staffing levels for dining room within the allocated budget 


• Supporting the planning and organizing external marketing events and ensures that all dining  room and bistro/café area are tour ready 


• You have strong people skills that can guide, motivate and supervise a diverse team while also being able to delegate tasks effectively 


• Can demonstrate patient, understanding, and able to connect with both residents and their families 


• You are able to think quickly, adapt to changing situations, and resolve issues efficiently 


• Possess effective organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks, manage budgets and ensure the smooth operation of the department 

What you need to know:


• Graduated from high school and completed coursework in hospitality service management, guest relations, service excellence, or a related field


• Brings two years of experience in fine dining, catering service or hospitality within hotels and restaurants 


• Has a valid Safe Food Handling and Smart Serve certificate 


• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit 


• You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check
