CLIENT SERVICES WORKER
Hoarding and Decluttering program.
Part-time position, 15 hours weekly.
Core service hours 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Travel & mileage paid between clients.
Ideal position for those interested in helping clients improve safety and function in their home.
In this position you will work with adults to assist them reduce risks associated with cluttered living environments, uncleanliness and squalor.
Using a harm reduction approach, the Client Service Worker is responsible for implementing client care plans and assisting them sort, organize, and discard possessions.
Assistance with cleaning and removal of small items may be required.
Services are delivered both in-home and virtually.
Required Skills:
- Social Service Worker or Community Service Worker Diploma.
- Experience working with clients living with mental health conditions.
- Knowledge and/or interest in hoarding disorder.
- Knowledge of York Region community resources.
- Experience in community setting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle conflict effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written).
- Ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively within team.
- Vehicle and valid Ontario driver's license required.
- First Aid certification required.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check
- Travel required throughout York Region.
- Personal protective equipment provided.
