Tree Planting Camp Cook Assistant

The Woodlands Division is seeking a reliable and hardworking Tree Planting Camp Cook Assistant to support our Camp Cook and planting crews in Deersdale, NB. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in contributing to an efficient and welcoming camp atmosphere.

As the Cook Assistant, you'll play a key role in preparing nutritious meals, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and ensuring general camp cleanliness. You'll help keep our planters fueled and the camp running smoothly while enjoying private accommodation that includes your own room, television, Wi-Fi, and shared washroom facilities.

• Assist the Camp Cook with meal preparation for breakfast, lunch, and supper
• Help with food prep tasks such as chopping, organizing, and portioning ingredients
•  Support kitchen cleanliness, including dishes, surfaces, and equipment
• Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing food supplies
• Maintain general camp cleanliness, including common areas and facilities
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
• Work collaboratively in a dynamic, remote camp environment

• Experience in food preparation or kitchen support—it's a plus if you've worked in camp or remote settings
• Strong understanding of cleanliness and sanitation practices
• Ability to work long hours in a physically active role
• Reliable, organized, and adaptable in changing conditions
• Positive attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to pitch in and support the smooth operation of the camp
• Class 5 Driver's License and clean abstract
