About the Role

The Business Optimization leader is responsible for improving cross-functional efficiency, driving cross-functional projects and enabling scalable growth across the organization. This role partners with senior leadership and all functions within the business to identify bottlenecks, streamline processes, and implement data-driven improvements that enhance performance and profitability. The ideal candidate blends strong analytical capability, strategic thinking, and change-management expertise within a technology environment.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Lead company-wide initiatives to improve operational effectiveness, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Assess end-to-end business processes and develop strategies to eliminate waste, reduce complexity, and accelerate cycle times.
  • Partner with senior leadership to define KPIs, operational goals, and performance dashboards.
  • Identify new opportunities for automation, including the deployment of artificial intelligence, workflow orchestration, and system integration.
  • Build models, frameworks, and business cases supporting optimization initiatives.
  • Implement metrics and measurement systems that provide visibility into business performance.
  • Drive alignment across all functions within the business.
  • Manage cross-functional project teams to implement process improvements and new capabilities.
  • Lead organizational change by improving adoption of new tools, systems, and processes.
  • Communicate improvements clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ensure initiatives deliver measurable business impact.
  • Required Capabilities

  • Experience in business optimization, management consulting, strategy, or similar roles within a technology organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; expertise in building models, dashboards, and KPI frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success driving cross-functional initiatives from analysis through execution.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and executive-level presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to directly engage in the work scope.
  • Desired Education and Experiences 

  • Requires comprehensive level knowledge of job area.
  • May have in-depth knowledge of project management.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations or related field.
  • Minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
  • MBA Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
  • *This posting is for a current vacancy.  In the province of Ontario, Canada, the pay range for this position will be $113,000 to $163,000
