The HR Associate Data Analyst Co-Op Student works with the Corporate HR team and collaborates with the Strategy and Business Performance group, supporting HR initiatives across the Irving Group of Companies.
Projects and assignments will vary depending on HR business needs and will focus on enabling business success through systems, data, and technology. Throughout the work term, the student will receive increasingly challenging assignments that help develop data analysis, business analysis, and solution delivery skills.
This is a 4-month work term from May 4 to September 28, 2026.
Responsibilities- Strengthen your communication skills in a business environment by collaborating with Corporate HR and J.D. Irving companies to build data-driven solutions that support HR processes.
- Translate HR business problems and opportunities into technical solutions, acting as a liaison between HR stakeholders and technical teams.
- Apply business analyst tools and methodologies, including business process mapping, project charters, and requirement gathering.
- Receive training and hands-on experience with multiple industry technologies and HR systems, including but not limited to: PowerBI, SharePoint, Clarity, and HR information systems.
- Support the development of dashboards, reports, and process documentation to enable HR decision-making.
- Education Required: Enrolled in Post-Secondary Education in a Bachelor of Computer Science, Business/Commerce, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Human Resources, or equivalent.
